Registered massage Therapy

Registered Massage Therapy involves the hands-on manipulation of the body's soft tissues by licensed medical professionals known as Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs).

This therapeutic practice employs a variety of manual techniques, focusing on muscles, joints, and connective tissues through gliding, kneading, and cross-fiber friction strokes.

The primary goal of these manipulations is to alleviate tension, enhance relaxation, and improve circulation. While many individuals seek Registered Massage Therapy for addressing physical issues such as dysfunction, back pain, or muscle discomfort, there is also a considerable number of people who opt for RMT services to promote relaxation and overall well-being.

The manual therapeutic techniques in massage therapy aim to directly impact muscles, releasing tension and restoring mobility and balance. Additionally, these manipulations collaborate with the body's nervous system, promoting healing and stress reduction.

Treatment Plan & Consent

Registered massage therapy is based solely off of informed consent.

Informed consent: is a principle in medical ethics and medical law, that a patient must have sufficient information and understanding before making decisions about their medical care.

You and your RMT will discuss what you want your treatment to look like, the benefits and potential risks. Your RMT will discuss which areas will be "draped" (areas being uncovered) and they will obtain your consent to work on the region. All treatments can be done over sheets or clothing, whatever you are comfortable with is good for us!

The therapist will leave the room to give you privacy to disrobe to your comfort level and to get inbetween the sheets on the massage table.
